The next major upgrade to the F-35 will allow it to fly in bad weather ... it will take years and it will be expensive!

We're getting close to eliminating the need for a pilot in fighter/bomber aircraft. Pilots will become obsolete.

For self flying planes, they will still need a pilot and a dog. The pilot is there to feed the dog, the dog is there to bite the pilot if he touches anything.
