The driver of the vehicle was allegedly served 16 shots at a bar before the crash
Authorities in Texas released video that shows a good Samaritan chase down a drunken driver who tried to run from the scene of a crash that killed an off-duty Texas police officer.
The video, obtained by Fox 4 Dallas, shows the aftermath of a November 2021 crash where 26-year-old Dylan Molina drunkenly plowed his rented Jeep at a high rate of speed into a white sedan in a Lake Worth, Texas, intersection.
The white sedan was driven by off-duty Euless Police Detective Alex Cervantes, who died at the scene while his wife and two boys were injured.

Pretty soon new car buyers will be treated to government mandated alcohol checks in your new car. 2025 I think
They’re going to have remote kill switches too.
Just the electric models.

I don’t know how you address it, but over-serving is a big part of the problem.
It happens everywhere, all the time.
And yes, I’m all about personal responsibility. The drunk is responsible for his own actions. Nobody forced those drinks on him. But then again, you don’t hand a drunk a loaded pistol. And neither should you hand him another beer.
Kudos to the driver who chased down the drunk while keeping his wits & not delivering the well-earned beat down. Not sure I could have maintained my composure in those circumstances.
