DO NOT TRUST YOUR GPS!!!!!!!
LOL, since everybody got out safely. I learned what you wrote was so true when I got my first GPS and it directed me into some of the strangest places in the world. The thing to remember is it’s not witchcraft, it’s science and the science can goof up.
Amen. Give me an address. I’ll get there.
One of my first jobs in the early ‘70s was in a city Mapping and Platting Department. That’s where I learned to love maps, and learn directions (N,S,E,W). One of my tasks was to run huge copies of Mylar maps on the old blueline machine. (I actually liked that ammonia smell!)
Blows my mind how people have been absorbed by GPS. Map reading has become a lost art in the past 25 years. Most convenience/gas stores don’t even have maps for sale.
After self driving cars are mandated you won’t need to worry about that. It will still put you in the water but why it did that won’t be your concern.
