“Don’t bet on that. Hollywood love money more than anything else.
Their entire lifestyles, way of living , standard of living etc depends on money and nothing else.”

Look at Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. She knew that Luke Skywalker fans will hate The Last Jedi but she approved of Rian Johnson’s film. Their objective is to make profit from a certain demographic (liberals) rather than trying to appeal to as wide a demographic as possible.

Kathleen Kennedy has a net worth of over $300 million made mostly from non woke films.
She can afford to lose a dollar or two.
Not so for those not worth so much, who are by far the majority.

Don’t worry Hollywood will go back to their wokeism and fail miserably again

Not bad for a guy who play acts to be someone who he is not. To date that crowd has exactly zero of my dollars.

I am wondering the same thing. Reportedly ELVIS did well - same as Top Gun on opening day.

Ghostbusters Afterlife and Jurassic Park Dominion were not woke either, and they did good.

I was to going to see it at the local IMAX theater. Too late. They dropped it for Jurassic Park.

Does anybody know what IMAX policy is? Is there any chance they will bring it back.

I saw TG2 this afternoon.

The preview for the new MI was more impressive.

Still, decent movie. Not worth prime (non-matinee) pricing, however (and Cinemark needs to fire their audio consultant/vendor). WAY too many ‘deja vu’ scenes (beyond mere ‘homage’) and a totally bizarre plot sequence in the opening chapter.

Awesome airborne scenes. What was most interesting to me is that the US Navy refused to portray the F35 in anything but background shots.

He really did pull it off well despite the studio not getting the rights cemented long before release.

Spoiler [not]: Cruise is an actor, so why is it that he couldn’t be bothered with learning his lines for the opening monologue (he was reading a prompter)? That soured the entire experience and I likely over scrutinized the movie, including Cruise’s character (which was inconsistent imho).

I think one of the reasons I enjoyed the movie was due to lack of CGI being used.
