MSNBC host and commentator Joy Reid spoke out over the weekend about what she feels is unfair media coverage of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Reid blamed the 'white, male media' for treating Harris with a bias that would not be found during the tenure of her predecessors, in an interview with The Root.
'Think about her portfolio, voting rights, immigration and the border, and police reform. The things on her plate are the toughest things that the Biden Administration has to deal with outside of inflation and the war in Ukraine,' said Reid.
Reid blames a white, male media class for cementing a narrative about Harris that has been hard for the Vice President to overcome: 'Most of the media is still white and male. And their take on Kamala Harris becomes the take. It becomes conventional wisdom.'
Harris has recently come under fire for leading a newly launched 'task force to address online harassment and abuse.' The task force seems to be a replacement for the Biden Administration's 'disinformation board,' which was axed due to concerns over potential bias against conservative ideas and speech
Recent polling from FiveThirtyEight shows Harris' approval rating hovering around 35.5%, while President Joe Biden's is slightly higher at 39.8%.
Since being named VP, Harris has made several blunders that have stuck with her, including an apparent reluctance to visit the US-Mexico border, despite being charged to oversee it.

And how did they treat Trump?
Presumably the abysmal 1% voter response she was able to glean during her primary was made up of both men AND women, if we’re gonna be sexist about it.
Virtually every woman knows a Kamala Harris. Promoted on looks, always ready to get officious on you, and with a sharp knife at the ready to stab you in the back. Always acting a level or two above her native intelligence. And maybe it’s something else. But she NEVER achieved any traction with women and she couldn’t even get horny men to vote for her. No, she generates a visceral dislike in a way that I can’t fully define, but it is palpable. People do not like her, don’t seem to want to like her, and don’t seem to change their opinions of her “the more they know her. People know her just fine and they don’t like what they see, right from first impression. Indeed, I think it’s remarkable how much distaste she generates right off the bat.
I bet nobody is losing sleep over Reid’s lamentations.
I have been watching politics and politicians for a long time. And the amount of phoniness is nauseating sometimes — on both sides the aisle. But Kamala Harris takes the prize as the most unlikeable politician I have ever seen. And its not even close.
Here’s Rita Panahi, part of that “white male” media Joy Reid refers to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPaBR3GNVe4
She’s the type who is secure in her smugness that she’s great and you’re a peon. And even though she’s the village idiot, she sees you as beneath contempt. Oblivious to the fact that the local dog catcher has more sense and cunning than she does.
Trump was wondering treated fairly by the black AND white media. AND?
I know everything I need to about Heels Up Harris!
*wasn’t*
That hurts my head.
“FiveThirtyEight shows Harris’ approval rating hovering around 35.5%, while President Joe Biden’s is slightly higher at 39.8%.“
I knew that poll was BS. Now that l see it had Harris at 35 l can safety deduct 8-10 points from both.
“He’s a racist, She’s a racist, wouldn’t you like to be a racist toooooo?”
Racist racist,racist!
I,guess when ya got nothing legit to run on, the only thing left to do is to scream “Racist!”
Ho Ho Ho!
I love those motivational posters.
I recently heard old Commie-LA waxing poetic about the new black womYn Supreme. SHE SOUNDED HIGH AS A KITE. Smoking pot has wrecked her brain.
Willie was probably just one of many. I mention him specifically because he had the most to do with her rise to power from a nondescript state legislator to a U.S. Senator.
