Video is edited, but the cop runs up jumps him.. then an edit happens, but with both still on the ground the Cop clearly discharges his taser causing the fireball...
Looks like the guy is fueling up his bike, when the cop just runs up and tackles him, knocking him and his bike to the ground, which would absolutely have put gas everywhere... There is an edit from the cop tackling him and the fire starting.
Doesn’t look good in any way for the cop... unarmed man pumping gas... he wasn’t a murderer or any threat to the public at this moment.... We’ll see what the body cams show, but not surprisingly the police aren’t releasing them.
Yeah “The Gas pump exploded” makes absolutely no sense.
Only an idiot would not question that line. I believe an idiot wrote it. It makes much more sense that gas got spread all over and was touched off by the taser.
Nothing, other than being promoted will happen to the Deputy. The “investigation” will clear him. The Department will promote him. He has nothing to fear from the Law.

I watched the video clip and I cannot see any justification for tackling him like that cop did.
I don’t care if he ran before, you just don’t blindside someone and tackle them like that out of the blue.
That was inexcusable in and of itself. And to deploy a taser at a gas pump?
Unreal.
That cop is fortunate that an eye for an eye justice is not done any more, even if he does deserve it.
