The real advance would be an artificial womb with a functional placenta to implant IVF embryos. It takes a heffer 9 months to bring a single calf to term. Synthetic formula is already used for calf rearing. A heffer has thousands of viable eggs in it’s ovaries and single bull can have hundreds of millions of sperm in a single extraction. The ability to tank farm livestock would be an order of magnitude in production volumes. It is also the only way to carry animals to the stars for human colonies in other planets the mass balance even with nuclear rockets is such that only embryos would be taken grown on site after arrival. For humans it would allow custom children to be created via gene expression and IVF than grown without trashing a woman’s body no need to get all mombod when you can cook up a designer kid in the matrix pod.
