It’s somewhat inaccurate to say that the price of a Big Mac is $6 or more. That’s kind of like what we used to call “sticker price” for cars (i.e., a nominal price that only the least savvy of car buyers actually pay).

As mentioned, most McDonalds are usually shooting a 2 for $6 deal. Also, I order the McD app, and the app regularly offers a buy-one-get-one-for-25-cents deal. Thus some buyers effectively getting Big Macs for $3, $3.25 or similar. If you took the average of what American buyer of Big Macs are paying, you might get $4.50 or something, substantially less than $6.

#53 thanks, I just installed the app. You can get a Double hamburger for just $1.89 and a daily double hamburger with lettuce-tomato for just $2.49.... or a McDouble for $2.19
That is 2 slices of hamburger!
Why bother with the more expensive burgers?!

I usually feel rushed and order a quarter pounder. No more!
