Little Rock, Arkansas news station KATV suspended anchor Chris May and meteorologist Barry Brandt for wearing Afro-style wigs in mid-September
The station also fired longtime news director Nick Genty
The wigs were part of a 'return to the 70s' segment in which on-air talent was supposed to sport looks popular in the 1970s as temperatures dropped
It was heavily criticized by a local activist who said that a white person wearing an Afro wig is a perpetuation of 'systemic racism
In a statement, officials for KATV said they condemned the stunt
Sinclair Broadcast Group Vice President John Seabers also met with members of the National Association of Black Journalists in the aftermath to apologize
He said the company is now working to hire more staff members of color
'We apologize to all viewers who were rightfully offended by the segment, and we promise to enact and enforce new measures to prevent future incidents from occurring,' he said in a statement.

You can’t fix stupid
My brother was considering the afro trend and thought getting a permanent in his straight, natural platinum blond hair would be cool. I convinced him to let me show him how it would look before he committed himself to it so I put up his hair in home permanent curlers and stuck him under the hair dryer. We removed the curlers, he took one look at it, rinsed his head and never said another word about a permanent.
I remember when I was in junior high or high school there was a trend among the guys to shave their heads. A few discovered that their scalps had significant rashes, whether from acne or shaving, I never knew. But it didn’t last long. Lest folks think I mock the men, about the same time the girls were pretending to be Pebbles and putting chicken bones in their topknots. Good old days.
Same same. I had a fro in the 70’s, it was permed. Those pictures could show up in my high school yearbook. I’m toast.
That’s a very impressive profile page. The wardaddy family is indeed a handsome clan. In the 18th or 19th photo down, is that your boat? That is one big boat.
Shut down that entire news station! ... unless it's owned by the far-left MSM. Fire everyone on the staff! This is slavery all over again! Only black people are allowed to wear wigs in 2021! (C'mon, fellow Americans, haven't we learned ANYTHING from the evil traitor Trump's 4-year reign of treasonous terror? AAAaaaaahhhhh! .......)
The Dems in 2020/2021 to everyone: "Shut up! This country is talking about race right now!"
Random American: "But I was only asking what time your store closes tonight."
The Dems: "SHUT UP!"
Rachel Dolezal found fame playing a black woman, and wearing an afro hairstyle.
What, no blindfold and firing squad…
They're too interested in putting black actors and actresses in roles of white historical figures like Anne Boleyn.

Neal Schon of Journey.
Anyone ever hear Gilbert Gottfriend? This guy has to be the most un-PC comedian I ever heard in my life, and incredibly he still has a career....

Lindsey had a nice perm.....I had one myself back then....
The white bass player for my former band was proud of his high school nickname of “Fro”. He’s bald as an onion now, but fondly remembers his hair glory days.
We can, apply it below the eyes and you're good to go.
Nah. Joe Sixpack I know said, "Is this all they got? Is this what they are killing each other for?"
We had a convo that basically broke it down into the black achievement gap is no longer a gap, it's a gulf, it's an ocean, not just between blacks and whites, but between edumacated blacks and unedumacated blacks.
Millions and millions of black people are now surrendered to permanent, entrenched, multi-generational poverty. We don't see them because the news don't go there no' mo. But parts of Detroit, Chiraq, Memphis, New Orleans -- been to all four this century, the good and the bad spots, and the bad spots are mind-blowingly bad.
Think about this -- 76 years after a nuke, Hiroshima, population-wise about dead-center between Memphis and Detroit (measured as metros), is a lovely modern city with a safe urban core, light and freight rail, good highways, tons of gardens, cycling paths, bar-hopping, great food, and livable suburbs.
76 years after a nuke.
'Wokenazz' is a sad, pathos attempt at a color revolution trying to hand blacks some sort of weapon against the ruling class, as they slide fully into inner-city anarchy. Schadenfreude.
Knowing what I know now I should have been trying to seduce all the freaky, perverted teachers But I didn't know that stuff went on back then.
I only learned of the possibilities when I was a freshman in college and one of my younger buddies who was a junior was dating the wrestling coach's wife. Of course that friend at 16 looked like a full grown viking. He was over 6 feet tall, had blonde hair, and a well-sculpted beard, sorta like a poor man's Chris Hemsworth. Good times
