They will drop the false statements of election fraud because he will get to show the evidence of all the fraud that the judges wouldn’t look at. Right there in front of everyone watching. It will be for inciting the riot. There is no proof. If they convict him anyways it will be the biggest bunch of crap they have done yet. I wonder if they would fear back lash. Or invite back lash to see if they can grab the guns.
A private citizen cannot be impeached . . . if we are following the rule of law. That means the democrats can and will impeach and then try President Trump. Trump’s crime? The election was stolen from him.
Having the trial AFTER he leaves office will in fact be challenged in court for its Constitutionality.
Whether he wins or not I do not know, but the trial will have to wait for the Supremes to weigh in first.
My thinking is the 5 conservatives will point out how Unconstitutional it is, as the very idea of impeachment versus criminal courts is to REMOVE an official from office.

This would be the first time in history that a non-sitting president could undergo an Impeachment Trial when he is no in office.

This is absurdly bordering on the kafkaesque. If convicted in the Senate, he’s removed from office, but already out of office. Sick.
Praying for the Storm to arrive followed by tribunals starting with the election fraud.
I want everyone in Congress including staff and everyone in the Supreme Court including clerks to attend mandatory tribunal hearings of the election theft.
Following the election theft tribunals, a series of hearings must address how this media network became a tool of enemy propaganda.

If they were actually stupid enough to say that and actually pursue a post-presidential impeachment, then as has been mentioned, Obama could be impeached for Benghazi.
