I was one who was in favor of wishing President Trump a happy retirement from Public Service BUT now that Pelosi and the traitor Republicans have moved for impeachment and a show trial of no constitutional basis, I’m all in hoping he will either announce he’s running again in 2024 and staying front and center in the political debate with monthly rallies throughout the country, especially in Pa, Wi, Ohio, Fl, Ga Michigan...reminding voters each time of the disasters the Obama puppetmaster is unleashing on the American People...challenge every thing they do! Rally the people to get their legislators (PA, MI, WI, and GA particularly) to tighten the voting laws and stop this flagrant fraud that maile-in, unchecked ballots has created. This MAY make it much more difficult for them to cheat to the degree they got away with this time - although I’m pretty sure they will find a way. He needs to be a thorn in their side each and every day. 75 million of us who support and appreciate what he has done for America need to be heard... and he is the only one who can lead this movement either within the Party or possibly even better via a separate entity.

"May end up in Supreme Court."

I think you mean the Supreme Kangaroo Court. AKA, disgrace to America and all Americans.

All that time and political capital we spent on conservative judges sure is paying off isn't it?

"Reported today in USA Today that the Senate that he Impeachment Trial of Donald J Trump will be put off until the new Senate is in session. This would be the first time in history that a non-sitting president could undergo an Impeachment Trial when he is no in office. "

This is all the more reason President Trump should announce he is running for president in 2024 the very second biden is sworn in on the 20th.

"If there is an ounce of dignity left in the man"

I think it's clear there never was any to begin with. This is a dishonest man who used deception to gain his seat. He is a disgrace and a central figure in the fall of America.

There is precedent
An official in the 1870’s was impeached, left office, but then underwent Senate trial. The trial failed to convict, one reason being Senators unwilling to vote against a now-private citizen
These folks want to
A) impeach Trump if some kraken keeps Joe from being inaugurated which they must fear is possible
B) impeach Trump to preempt him from running again and keeping tens of millions of followers for the next 4 years
C) impeach Trump out of personal spite and hate. No retirement salary ( he wont take it anyway); no secret service protection ( let Iran do what it threatens); no honors perks or recognition

Like we dont see through it
Getting impeached by Pelosi is a badge of honor that proves whose agenda he supports

How is that possible? I thought a private citizen could not be impeached.

He was impeached yesterday while he was still in office. The trial will be after he leaves office, and the dubious legality of that will certainly be challenged in court. Hopefully the President will trust someone other than Giuliani or Dershowitz with that.

To: alternatives?

He was still impeached and tried as a private citizen, not an office holder
