As we see, things change very quickly each day. Every day things get better and we know more. By the time Apr 30 comes, we will definitely have lower infections and less deaths. IMO, the HYQ drug will be common knowledge by then and even used as a prophylactic. If you have no symptoms and the infections in your county are falling or non existant, you can go back to work as long as you continue social distancing. In my county in Texas we have 2 cases since the beginning. The counties surrounding me all have less than 10 infections combined since the beginning. Many counties in Texas have zero even today. More than half of the counties in the US have 10 infections or less.
IMO, Trump know it costs 10's of billions of dollars per day to stay shut down. There is food rotting in warehouses as we speak. Farmers can't just grow a new crop in weeks. Businesses will be closing with lost jobs forever if something doesn't happen quick. Trump will send people back to work no matter what it looks like. To ask for trillions more dollars for something preventable is suicide for the US.
If not April 30,....when? We can't stay shut till June because a few hundred people continue to get sick.
We will get a couple of bottles of HYQ and be ordered back to work and to continue keeping our distance and masks will be suddenly be good to wear if you don't have the virus.
Rural Texas doesn’t have the population density to sustain rapid community spreading. Dallas on the otherhand is still in exponential growth and won’t peak until sometime in May if people obey social distancing. If people just come out and go right back to being all over the place the cases will explode in high density Dallas. We need antibodies testing, once identified as having antibodies at a certain level which grants immunity then we should flag those people much like China does with a green QR code on the cellphone this will be the passport to enter free movement and social gatherings. Those green pass people should be put to work immediately if they are a critical need worker in their fields if not then they should be drafted into critical need fields offended training and compensation especially if their existing jobs are furloughed. Once a company has say 50% of greenpass employees they can open up for other immunes as customers. This builds the numbers of herd immunity up and allows the immune to get the economy rolling. At no point should nonimmunes be allowed to congregate that’s inviting disaster.
