Part of the economic problems were caused by decades of running deficits up along with debt policies which caused the central bank to overextend while artificially propping up your "economy" by absorbing bonds to pay for pensions and retirement accounts that had no foundational fundamentals at the expense of FUTURE generations. A lot of P/E ratios in the market were obscene are needed a correction to figure out what the hell were the correct prices. Our foreign policy was awful.

Better grab a country (ies) that hate the US and would use a citizenry of angry useful idiots as cannon fodder because the Federal government has resources (Or enough credit) to pay an army/navy (Marines too)/air force, control the flow of ventilators along with pharmaceuticals, satellites that do everything from intelligence to reading body heat, moles/spooks up the ying-yang, and mass media.

Those death rates are based on those that are tested. If you used the same method for the flu there would be millions that died every year in the US from the flu which has a 10% mortality for those that have been TESTED.
