FT. MEADE, Md., July 23, 2019 —“GenCyber camps”, set up starting early in 2014, intended to help address a deficit. GenCyber’s mission is to inspire “a diverse generation of cyber stars”. In just a few short years, the GenCyber Program has provided opportunity for many thousands of K-12 students and teachers across the country thru local Fusion centers. “GenCyber is playing a significant role in increasing awareness of cybersecurity and ultimately is helping build the narrow pipeline of cybersecurity professionals entering the field.”

GenCyber Fusions, are traditionally co-funded by the NSA and the National Science Foundation and are held each summer across the nation in 43 states on college campuses, at no charge to students…
