The South Bend, Indiana, mayor told The Atlantic he’d be wary of directing his attorney general to pursue charges, but would want “any credible allegation” to be examined.
If Pete Buttigieg beats Donald Trump in 2020, he’d support a criminal investigation into the former president.
“To the extent that there’s an obstruction case, then yes, DOJ’s got to deal with it,” the South Bend, Indiana, mayor said on Wednesday, during a meeting with Atlantic editors and reporters. Citing Gerald Ford’s pardon of Richard Nixon after Watergate, Buttigieg said he would not be interested in doing the same for Trump.
“I would want any credible allegation of criminal behavior to be investigated to the fullest,” Buttigieg said—something a pardon would preclude.

I seriously doubt Barr will do that. Which probably goes a long way towards explaining why he is DOING NOTHING (other than occasionally Hanging something out in a Limited fashion to make us think he is doing something). If Barr starts arresting people like the Ohrs that fuse burns right straight into the Oval Offcie of 0bama and he knows it. It is pretty apparent to me that Barr knows that pissing us off is a lot safer than pissing of the DNC, the Deep State, and the Brown Shirt Media. My bet is Barr will continue to dribble out just enough that we stay in the LaZboy satisfied that “things are being taken care of THIS TIME”.
So the GOP will need to do the same next time a Dem leaves office.
