You seem to think that Pres Trump is a Republican who doesn’t really believe what he says, who in reality cannot stand his base refusing to listen to us, and a Republican who is deathly afraid of the media and the Dems.
He is exactly the opposite.
He does not need us to hold his feet to the fire...he knows exactly what happened today, and it prob killed him to do it.
That's exactly what I think!
Except on certain business issues, Trump was always a center-right Democrat before he decided to run as a Republican.
On the other hand, Trump was the most Conservative candidate who could win the election, so I voted for him in 2016, and I'll vote to reelect him in 2020.
My top two issues are Immigration and Federal Spending.
Trump gets a F-minus in both subjects.
Trump has made it crystal clear that he will never deport any illegal immigrants unless they are violent criminals.
He will never enforce Universal E-Verify, he has not cut back H-1B Visas, he has expanded the foreign student OPT work visa, and until quite recently, he conducted fewer workplace raids than Barack Obama.
He has done nothing consequential to stop our “Catch and Release” border policy. And once Trump is out of office, The Wall will be completely useless, because no Democrat is ever going to enforce it.
As to Federal Spending, Trump's Fiscal 2018 budget deficit was $780 billion. In the first two months of Fiscal 2019, Trump's budget deficit was already $105 billion higher than the first two months of Fiscal 2018!
Like I said before, if Conservatives don't hold Trump's feet to the political fire, who will?
