Speaking from personal experience, heel spurs can be excruciatingly painful and render one almost unable to walk (much less participate in military training).
Heel spurs aren’t that difficult a diagnosis to make; a legitimate diagnosis could possibly have been made based on history and symptoms without much of a physical exam being needed. Of course the podiatrist’s daughters, who are “not Trump fans,” don’t actually KNOW anything.
