No one personifies the triumph of Trumpism more fully than Graham. Formerly a leader of the more rational faction of the GOP, Graham once said, "You know how you make America great again? Tell Donald Trump to go to hell." But since the death of his friend and mentor, John McCain, Graham has embraced the Trump style in his rhetoric and approach to politicking.

While it's good to have Graham (or anyone else in the Senate) on the side of the President's agenda, I find his psychology disturbing. Lindsey has some emotional need to latch onto and play sidekick to an alpha male - any alpha male - it used to be McCain, now it's Trump. In other words, Lindsey's stated political positions have nothing to do with ideology or even partisan politics, but are just a function of what alpha male he develops an off-putting emotional attachment to.

At least he didn’t pick Mitt Romney or John Kerry as his next Batman.

Every word of Senator Graham’s speech was correct, heart-felt and sincere. He realized just how demonic the Left is and sounded like a FReeper.

As to your theory Madison became tied at the hip to Jefferson after TJ’s return from France and didn’t suffer much.

Leaders draw men to themselves, that is why they are leaders.
