Problem is if she’s got Mike Judge’s book and used it to create this story it matches for that reason.

If it is a fictional account, Judge had no reason to be concerned as to whether or not it was a Safeway or some other store, or even what year he worked there - if he actually did.
None of those things would matter in the scheme of a fictional account, even if based on his life.
However, Ford seemed to be sending out a plea for someone to find that specific info for her.
