That tool will fix the problem if there's a misconfiguration of the audio device. It won't work if there's some wierd compatibility issue with the audio driver and the Windows 10 Creators Update.
I'm not aware drivers required changes/updates for Creators Update.
Again, what surprised me was that I was successful in getting the Creators Update installed, but many of the drivers I needed for a useful system were listed as there, but not loaded. It was more than an audio conflict once I got it to install. No internet! Couldn’t look around for improvement.
Yet, Device Manager showed the drivers; just said they couldn’t be loaded.
