The FBI has arrested a man accused of sending Dallas reporter Kurt Eichenwald a tweet that triggered an epileptic seizure.
The agency announced that John Rayne Rivello, 29, of Salisbury, Md., was arrested Friday morning in Maryland on a cyberstalking charge.
Eichenwald tweeted that the man who "assaulted" him also is expected to be indicted by the Dallas district attorney on different charges in the next few days.
Eichenwald's attorney, Steven Liberman, told Newsweek that "What Mr. Rivello did with his Twitter message was no different from someone sending a bomb in the mail or sending an envelope filled with anthrax spores."

Eichenwald appeared on a TV show and made such an ass of himself that Tweeters were commenting on it. One person, the one arrested in this story, posted an image with flashing video which said, "you deserve a seizure," which supposedly triggered an epileptic episode in Eichenwald (who is known to have epilepsy).
They have now identified the man who posted the tweet and this article says he's been arrested.
Eichenwald is ecstatic. What a sad little man.
Has anyone read any of his books? Is he a good writer?
I don’t know, if you knew someone had a peanut allergy, and you mailed them an envelope that contained peanut oil, and it caused an allergic response, I don’t see how something like that wouldn’t be a serious crime.
I reckon the saying: “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words shall never harm me” is no longer in vogue.
He not claimed it gave him a seizure.
Claimed.
Douchebags on the left constantly claim victim status.
Douchebags on the left constantly invent victim events for themselves.
It takes a special kind of person to believe a word that comes out of a leftist’s mouth that isn’t backed up by unedited video.
What if it did?
I wonder if the FBI has any proof that it wasn’t the Rooskis who sent the Twit a Tweet.
Since this incident happened, I’ve noticed flashing images all over the internet. If Eichenwald has a problem with flashing images, he shouldn’t be using the internet or watching TV, or, for that matter, driving down a road lined with lacy trees on a sunny day.
Who’s he gonna sue next? God?
#2 is a good analogy.
If sending seizure inducing strobes(if even possible, dont know?) than yes he should be charged.
If this guy can be charged for triggering an epileptic seizure via a tweet. I also want to sue the makers of the traffic lights that are red and strobe when red...as it keeps ME in a constant seizure state while driving.
If the guy sent a specific image known to cause seizures to someone known to get seizures and told the guy that he deserves to have a seizure, and then the guy has a seizure as a result of looking at said image, dude probably has a pretty solid case.
My last German Shepherd died of a petite mal seizure that did not end.
They are serious.
Not the same at all. Besides, Eichenwald is a nut case.
No what is truly scary is the
latest Judge illegally ruling against trump’s travel ban pointed to quotes made on the campaign trail as a point of reference for his decision.....THAT is crazy sacrey.
Watch the video link in my post #12. The guy is one continuous seizure of liberalism.
Why isn’t it the same?
And so what if he is a nutcase?
Does he deserve to have a seizure inflicted upon him by someone else who is also obviously a nutcase?
Rivello deserves it. What an evil prick.
So presumably you think you could be guilty for sending him a link to the Killer Japanese Seizure Robots?

I don’t care how liberal he is.
That isn’t relevant as to whether or not someone committed a crime against him.
