Donald Trumps Make America great again slogan and this Republican Congress's actions raise unanswered questions
Recently I appeared at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Penn., for a talk entitled Making America As Good As Its Promise. So you dont confuse the theme of my talk with the slogan of a particular presidential campaign, let me delineate the difference.
When I hear Donald Trump suggest that he wants to make America great again, it always triggers the same three questions in my head.
One: How is Trump defining greatness? Im not sure he and I share an understanding of what makes a nation truly great. For me, it starts with how you treat the children, the poor, the aged and infirmed, how you embrace equality as you labor for equity. Equality means that everyone gets the same in America, whether they need it or not. Equity says we commit to ensuring that all fellow citizens have the basic resources that will give them commensurate opportunities to contribute meaningfully to our society....

Which sounds an awful lot like: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs."
The 3 always of SJWs.
1. SJWs always lie.
2. SJWs always project.
3. SJWs always double down.
This idiocy about enslaving blacks is, actually, already in progress by the welfare state SJWs.
Claiming that anyone else is in any way interested in doing such a thing is SWJ rule #2.
The answer is YES, but for an entirely different reason. If Isis or other Muslim group can overthrow the US Gov and make us part of a world wide Caliphate. Slavery would return, and not just for African-Americans.
Good lord!!
Django Smiley.
We will never make that particular mistake again.
He draws this conclusion from the fact that the Republicans refuse to hold hearings on Obama’s nominee to replace Justice Scalia.
He heard screaming and bullwhips cracking.

Reading a progressive lament about anyone not honoring the Constitution is like listening to a habitual rapist lament his that conquest don’t send him Christmas cards.

I think you are confusing ‘greatness’ with dependency smart guy.
A rancid glimpse into the paranoia of the Left, Smiley’s true opinion of a large segment of his audience. He thinks they are dumb, racist and easy to fool.
How come one pass up Tavis Smiley at Time.com?
Never mind.
Hey Smiley, you dumbass, the Democratic party has been enslaving black people for the last 60 years - in fetters called dependency, entitlement, and “planned parenthood”. You’re just too stupid to realize that, I guess.
Well, that seems clear enough....
By about the fourth paragraph in he all but admits he’s a communist.
Tavis...people pay you to have the most boring TV show in America...what are you talking about?
Intensive therapy could go a long way towards dealing with paranoia that severe.
As long as there is a 2nd Amendment, putting blacks in chains will have little success.
