“But they wouldn’t be bikers then, would they?”
Yes, they would. They would IMHO be MORE authentic than the criminal gangs who somehow seem to have absconded with the true biker history and ethos of those who vastly outnumber them. Bikers CAN be bikers without emulating the outlaw lore, mythology, dress adherence, etc. of criminal MC gangs. If they can’t, ?? why not?? JUST ASKING!
“The Biker culture just IS. It is ‘outlaw’ and contrary by design, without and before what ‘Outlaw gangs’ may have done... “
. . . But now it is time and beyond time to distance the authentic biker who may be contrary by design and disposition, from the criminal element. Just why not? Asking!
Then who indeed is emulating whom?

You still don't get it. How do you tell a cowboy from a rustler? How do you tell a hillbilly from a moonshiner?
I'm as redneck as the day is long. Cowboys are too wild and wooly for 'polite society' too... There's a criminal element to them as well... Are you telling me I should hang up my spurs and get a desk job so that I am not associated with such criminals? You gotta be kidding.
roamer’s post to you is interesting. You state that the authentic bikers should distance themselves from the criminals and he replies back that if he does that, he has to give up riding.
I guess the ‘fear factor’ is too large. That is so sad. And they blame the cops for trying to clean it up.
