...There’s a photo with the Kenyan 0bama and Stanley Ann under a Christmas tree from that visit, can’t remember if 10 yr old Zero is in that photo or not.

Yes, that photograph was of three people, Stanley Ann, the kenyan and a tubby little boy, exchanging gifts, all looking very unnatural. But he was there, apparently he gave a talk to the children in zero's class about Africa. However, the teacher just happened to be the woman, who as a student, had that very unlikely conversation with Dr West, when he DIDN'T tell her that he had delivered Stanley Ann of a baby. So are her anecdotes trustworthy?

Aha, I thought little Zero was in the picture - and I was going to say “tubby”! But I wasn’t 100% sure he was in the photo.
