What I want to know is what kid is named fully after a deadbeat father?

He is NOT named after his deadbeat alleged father. If he were he would be named Barack Hussein Obama Jr.

Obama says his name is Barack Hussein Obama II. The appendage 'II' is used when a child is named after someone who is not the father. That other person might be an uncle or a grandfather and the II was used to discriminate between the two.

Now it is possible that the mother, vulgarian that she was, thought II sounded classier than junior.

I think that 'two' as in 'second' John Smith the second is an english naming custom.
