Sodomites as a class can include active homosexuals, and other members of the homosexual lobby who do not actively participate, but do promote the homosexual agenda.
Maybe we are speaking past one another or maybe you not getting the point... evil has a king too. Out of selfish sinful interest it would be logical that most people spreading such tales would have a vested interest in the direct act, but they have plenty of sympathizers and there are just opportunistic trouble makers too.
Incidentally I believe that gospel can save homos/”gays”/sodomites the same as it can save any other sinner. The only sinner that it can’t save is a sinner that refuses the salvation. And salvation isn’t a list of rules followed on one’s own resources (though rules wisely applied can come to bear in sharpening one’s focus), it is accepting a Spirit as sovereign in one’s life and then letting that Spirit do what it does. In the realest sense, Love is the answer. Believe that God will love you back if you love Him... and in fact He will. More powerfully than you could ever have dreamed.
