White conservatives often criticize Black people for being too quick to play what they call "the race card." On the other hand, many Black people criticize America for not being sensitive enough to the reality that race plays in American life. George Zimmermans trial for the murder of Trayvon Martin clearly validates the Black communitys point of view.
Trayvon Martin is dead for no other reason than he was born Black in America. Thats a non-debatable fact. Had he been a White kid, Trayvon would have still been alive today. Yet, even as the jury is out deliberating Zimmermans fate, theres a raging debate going on in America over whether or not Zimmerman was justified in taking this mere childs life.
Regardless to the eventual verdict in this case, the trial itself clearly demonstrates how the laws of the land are routinely bent against the interest of the Black community, while still managing to maintain the illusion of justice for all.
The bottom line is, Trayvon Martin was guilty of absolutely nothing. He was simply engaged in an activity that millions of kids - good kids - engage in all across this country on a daily basis. He wasnt casing the neighborhood in preparation to commit a crime, he wasnt walking down the street smoking dope, nor was he walking the street in search of a potential victim. He was simply an innocent kid on his way home after going to the store to buy a bag of Skiddles and a soft drink. So how, in a just society, can he end up dead, and his killer - an armed adult, who stalked him, and outweighed him by forty pounds - can now be claiming self-defense in his murder? The very scenario strains credulity to the limit.
One would think the facts above would be crystal clear to every single person in America - and they would be if the situation was exactly reversed. If Trayvon Martin had been the adult in this scenario, and he stalked and killed a White kid under the exact same circumstances - if he stalked the kid, weighed forty pounds more than his victim, and he was armed while the kid was not - chances are, he would already be on Death Row, for First Degree Murder - that is, assuming he survived to reach the police station.
So while I dont take the position that all White people are malevolent, nor am I one who looks under every rock for the existence of racism whenever Black people dont get their way, I do stand firm in the belief that racism is such an historically pervasive part of American life that many Americans - both Black and White - harbor grossly racist attitudes towards Black people that are so deeply ingrained that they dont even recognize it themselves.
You dont think so? Watch any hip hop video and count the number beautiful dark-skinned sisters you find. I guarantee you, youll find very few - and even when a dark-skinned sister is so strikingly beautiful that they cant avoid using her, theyll usually shine a light on her to make her look orange.
So I reiterate, Trayvon Martin is dead due to the gross racism of a grossly racist society - Period.

Good morning
“Pops these a**holes they always get away”
Those were the words in that grown man’s mouth
As he followed in the dark a 17 year old boy who he didn’t know
Excuse my language but those were his words, not mine
[Interlude: Lil Scrappy]
Can’t just kill a ma’****a for no reason and get away with it
Gotta have some justice, whether it’s street justice or legal justice
[Hook: Lil Scrappy]
I’m Trayvon Martin, I’m Trayvon Martin
I’m Trayvon Martin, I’m Trayvon Martin
In the hoodie I can walk anywhere I want
Don’t shoot me I can do anything I want
[Verse 1: Lil Scrappy]
I’m sick and I’m nauseous, this is obnoxious
Even though that it’s obvious [?]
We was reaching for freedom, now we’re seeking our justice
Then they get away with it, like they paid off the judges
Mom and dad cry, sad that their son died
His killer is on TV telling these foolish lies”
“Zimmerman.” —> St. Tray?
These race pimps are really pushing it.
Once the gun was recognized as available to both, the “race” was on.
I’m pretty sure that brother doesn’t know ONE SINGLE WHITE PERSON.
SURE, HE’S from the STREET.........
...............probably Sesame Street.
By the way, that last commentary was brought to you by the letters “F” and “U”.

Just because someone learns to use a word processor doesn’t mean they can think. If a white teen Treyvon’s size jumps me with a sucker punch and tries ground and pound, I’ll send him to hell as quickly. But that isn’t fecal material for victimhood like the author of this idiocy piece is pushing.
Stupid like his bud Janetel.
Blacks (especially law abiding ones) are EXTREMELY safe around pretty much any white community.
Now can you name a single lower class black neighborhood a white is safe to walk around at night?
Nope. Zimmerman was on "his" side, until this occurred.
His political leanings or ideology don't take away from his God-given right to self-defense, or do you disagree?
If it was self defense, then I agree. I'm not going to rush to judgment either way.
If Trayvon had good parents he would be alive today. A good parent would have grounded a teen suspended from school. A good parent would have been at home supervising the suspended teen that night instead of running around with his “fiancé”. A good parent would have taken the cell phone so Trayvon couldn’t be talking to females who might be egging him on.
Trayvon was the product of a broken home and parents who were too self indulgent to give their child the guidance, direction, and discipline he needed.
Are we tribes or a Republic? If we’re tribes, then your way is the way to look at it. And maybe we are.
Pretty straight forward at that point.
They are money grubbing child abusers.
I would agree with the author that had Trayvon been white he would have had a better chance of living through the night but for reasons other than the author would argue.
Trayvon was growing up in a culture that basically taught him to walk around with a permanent chip on his shoulder when it came to white people. He was taught that white people looked down on him because of his race. He was taught that he would not be granted advantages that whites had by the grace of their skin color.
Trayvon was also a young man that enjoyed fighting and beating people up and apparently he enjoyed beating a person severely. In many black neighborhoods this is pretty much in bred in young men. This is not a great character trait to have in a society that enjoys the right to keep and bare arms.
Then we could speak to Treyvons dysfunctional family. The fact that his parents were never married statistically marks him as more likely to come to a bad end. Sons of unwed mothers are more likely to be convicted of a crime. The fact that 60% of blacks are born to unwed mothers (a number likely to rise) puts young black men a severe risk of being sent to prison being killed before reaching the age of 25.
Trayvon walked out of his fathers house that night with the deck stacked against him by society but it is not white society but black society that needs to change if the number of future Trayvons is to be reduced.
Wow, I feel dumber for having read this!
There is one silver lining in all these... Now we can see the TRUE FEELINGS of all the BLACK RACISTS out there.
Start a riot over this... it won’t be good.
If black people cannot take an honest look at one of their own and say “yes that KID (not black kid) should not have been out in the rain walking between houses and jumping the neighborhood watch volunteer” then they are the ones with the problem
And I am getting pretty sick of it
As of now, the jury knows more about this than any of us. Let them do their jobs and decide, which is how this Republic works.
Had he been a white kid, and George Zimmerman a black man, we would never have heard of either, because the media would have buried the incident.
