That parallels my thoughts when it was announced that Ryan would be the VP pick.

It was to marganalize him, and at the same time make people think that Romney would go along with Ryan's tea party principles. Not by a long shot.

And McCain could have chose Palin for the same reason as her ‘rep’ for taking on either side of the aisle was no problem for here. She went after corruption where ever she found it.
