Short term math, short term thinking. Where's your history and your future? Consider what happens in 2014 ... remember what happened with Clinton in 1992 -- hint that was two years into his second term. Here is another. You have to be insane to think that we we OR ANY PARTY will have a 2/3 majority in the Senate. It Just Doesn't Happen! Particularly in such a closely divided country.
It is not logical to think that it would be easier to get 19 additional Republican seats while keeping all the ones they have instead of getting one Republican to act a little more conservative.
It is not rational thinking.
