The fact that the National SOCIALISTS came to power on the support of people willing to throw reason to the wind in order to get out of their then current circumstance seems lost on many on FR as of late.
But then again, these are people who think that your vote for a person does not mean that you support them/their policies.
In short, people are once again throwing reason to the wind and ‘hoping’ for ‘change’. Four years ago, such people were called idiots by the very people who now embrace their ideals. How freaking mindless is that? Abandoning your very reason out of fear never results in a positive outcome.
Do you people only read what you want to read or do you not have the ability to comprehend?
I said Romney was not my first choice. I realize the problems involved with him. I get it!
I simply said that for ME......for MY REASONING.....for where I AM at this point in time, I cannot separate the lessons from my family from my decisions. I thought this was a “FREE REPUBLIC”.....not just a place where you could only speak your mind when other people agreed!

Exactly, Norm. I recommend reading:
Defeating the Totalitarian Lie is the story of a German family before, during and after the 12 years of Nazi rule. What he writes is not just a fascinating description of how the totalitarian system came to pass and what effect it had on the German people in their daily lives. Additionally the author always links what happened to them with historical developments. His facts and figures especially with regards to the war are largely unknown to American people.Hilmar von Campe died June 12 of this year but his website is being kept up to date. His analysis of the totalitarian roots of the national socialist and the international socialist/ communist ideologies is fascinating. He describes the links of Islamic terrorism with Hitler as well as with the Soviets and defines the terrorist war on us a proxy war. He shows the Neo-Nazis of today and how the influence of the Nazi ideology is destroying Americas infrastructure of freedom while most Americans sleep. He points out what has to be done. The principle theme of the book is the role of God in human society.
