I have a US Senator in my state that has a 90 lifetime rating from the ACU (American Conservative Union) running for election from a governor appointment. He is a Mormon.

You know how a huge lead can just go poof at the end in this state. A “safe” seat can turn into “leans Democrat” within the space of 8 weeks. It’s crazy here.

I can’t Freep or use FR to organize grassroots activities for him if it is permitted to trash his religion in any News/Activism forum.

Please meet us halfway.

You're talking about Dean Heller who is running for the U.S.Senate in Nevada. Like Romney, he is a Mormon. Like Romney, he is a switch-hitter when it comes to protecting life:

"I'm a Mormon and I teach Sunday school every week, but I do back a woman's right to choose abortion. It is the conservative position." - Dean Heller (2006)

Like Romney, he now (six years later) claims to be pro-life. Maybe he is.

I will probably vote for Heller. I will not hold his "religion" against him. However, he should be tested as to the legitimacy of his pro-life conversion and he should be expected to answer for his earlier pro-abortion statements.
