Personally; admired Cheney a great deal; and thought he was great VP. AS for 'giving a leg up'; can only say; political expedience; governance by polling - and people who are clueless yet - is not what Bush Admin was about.

It is the NOW; that it is critical; and from whence our future turns; and for all 'intents and purposes' our past; is just that. We need to deal with today's realities so as to 'best' move forward.
