I have challenged the bigoted
***The Good Lord called false teachers in his day, Vipers and Sons of the Devil. Would you characterize that as intolerant and bigoted? Was JESUS being Christ-like when He did it?
Moving forward in anticipation of your non-answer, it is interesting to note the expectations put on a follower of Christ that are not put onto Christ Himself. That is a bit of a pharisaical attitude.
First, you have to prove the teachings to be false. Having a spiritual lynch mob backing up the charges is invalid.
How do you do that? Do the teachings follow God’s Law or do they take the path of an ACLU attorney in claiming that God’s law is living and breathing? We have Ten Commandments, yet some cults have followers believing that forgiveness is easily obtained just by kissing up to the boss, thereby reducing the commandments into suggestions.
That, to me, is false teaching. Its forgiveness for tithing; spiritual prostitution on behalf of the cult leaders.
Pharisaical? NOPE. I do not claim that my behavior will be without judgment and that I have a ticket to the greatest spiritual rewards. I take the Commandments seriously; not like a liberal. I have to actually earn my spiritual rewards.
