You make a point and then negate it in the very next sentence. If Boehner originally picked Ryan to be on those committees, knowing he was a TEA partytype, it means he didn't care that he was a TEA party type before, why would he care now?
Perhaps Boehner underestimated Ryan’s [rising] influence (as well as the Tea Party’s?). What it comes back to is I don’t trust the GOP-e to act in the country’s best interest. They’ve sabotaged those in the Tea Party at all elections of which I’m aware. So elevating Ryan to a VP position would make sense if the goal was to remove him from the powerful House Committees. Perhaps they have something in mind to pass in the Budget Committees once Ryan’s out of the way.
