"I read them all in real time. Thanks."

What did you think after reading them?

Just the next 100 posts (200-300) interesting too. Another 11 individual Freepers who flatly stated out loud they would vote ABO/GOP/Romney/Ryan. Additionally, 7 more individual Freepers who also supported ABO and indicated their vote would be for the GOP candidate.

So from just the first 300 post-opus posts, that's another 18 for sum total of the Spirit of 76 Freepers -- out of just the first 300 posts -- concerned about the future of our country:

I’m voting Romney/Ryan. Nothing else will save this country unless we go to war. And even should the GOP ticket succeed, we still have to hold their feet to the fire. But I can accept that. We may still have to go to war if Obama wins. But I’ll be damned if I’ll sit this election out. No way will I ever not stand up and be counted when it comes to acting against tyranny. There’s no other choice. -- bcsco

I was as ABR as anyone here. Ask my friends and family. Over the last month or so, I have come to the realization that, if I want my country to continue to exist, I have to become ABO. I do not support Romney, but I do support my country. I know that Obama is determined to destroy it. Being in Wisconsin, I understand that my vote, unlike one in CA or NY, may actually matter. It is a heavy responsibility and one I take seriously. I will be voting for some serious R & R. If that means I am not welcome here at FR, I guess that is the way it is. God Bless the USA. May she grow and prosper. -- ozaukeemom

To: bcsco Your post says it all. I’ll second it! -- mplsconservative

I don't care if Romzilla has a gills and two peters. I'd take a daily whipping over 4 more years of Zero. But like I've said, he should be kept guessing until election night. But let Barry win by default? Why, that's just crazy talk. -- tumblindice

I do hope a couple of the ABR FReepers on the thread will engage the question I posed. Romney was not my first choice (I voted for Santorum in the Ohio primary), but he's the only choice now, as I see it - I just can't see how helping Obama get reelected is going to put the conservative movement in a better position in 2016. I remember reading a piece about Perot's impact on the 1992 election. The race in Ohio came down to a few votes per Congressional district, which meant that Clinton carried the state, and the White House, because Perot hated the Bush family. The Anyone But Bush voters won that year, and look what it gave us; I choose to not repeat the mistake this time around. -- TonyInOhio

I wish he'd picked Palin (as if, after his surrogates trashed her). But aside from her, Ryan is the best one which came to mind. And he's young (42). Good enough to take over the reins when Romney retires. And -- though I despise Romney's liberal credentials, at least he gave a nod in the correct direction with this pic, rather than (say) Gov. Christie of NJ. We must stop Obama, or literally face destruction (300 nuclear warheads for the US is suicide, even if Obaama didn't go all Stalin on us). Considering an extra donation to FR. Cheers! -- grey_whiskers

Sure, Ryan is now a RINO because he agreed to be Romney's VP candidate. He agreed to be the VP for a guy that won the primary, endorsed Ryan's budget and has tacked right to get the nomination. WOW! I guess anyone short of Attila the Hun would be a Leftist in some peoples eyes. Ryan is a solid Conservative. What he understands, and you and many here do not. You can not effect change and Conservative governance yelling from the sidelines and the stands, YOU HAVE TO BE IN THE GAME! Ryan put all Conservatives in the game. -- Jim from C-Town

So, if our hard core social republican friends are upset, then they should call for a revival. Not a vote for Obama by not voting for Romney. -- blasater1960

A life of dhimmitude and martyrdom at a time when it didn’t need to happen. Whatever happened to the brave MEN of the past? I am serious. Cowards! obama has the Muslim Brotherhood in the White House, you fools! Stand up to a Romney administration and be heard if ya don’t like his policies, for Pete’s sake, but get obama out of there! -- Bluebird Singing

However, my fear is that this country that I love, that saved my Dad and gave our family a chance to rebuild, will not survive another four years with the current President in office. Romney was not my first choice. Not even remotely. But like my Dad, we don’t always get the things we want and sometimes we have to do the best we can with what we have to make it through a night and hope for another day. I would respectfully suggest that those of you who are not voting for Romney because he’s not exactly what you want, have not ever been through periods of true starvation where you will do anything to fill the pain and agony caused by emptiness and G*d bless you for it. Men should not have to endure those things. --CWSNTEXAS

While Romney was hardly my first or second choice elections are what they are. Little has "changed"except for for far more corruption due to the current regime. From my standpoint it's no good enough to sit back and take cheap shots at the guy who won without a viable alternative. I can't ignore the destruction going on by the regime. For me I would need either a good alternative or support our candidate all the way. That's what I am doing. For me to do nothing is really not an option. -- rodguy911

Helpful hint: Romney is the only candidate capable of defeating Obama. You can rant and rave, fume and pout, hold your breath but in the end you have a choice between the current President and Governor Romney. Try to accept it. Or continue to foolishly waste your time with post after post re-fighting the primary. -- catpuppy

What exactly are you hoping to accomplish? Jim is entitle to HIS opinion and HIS vote. It’s disgusting that he’s being harangued for it. None of you have the right to try to force him to do something against his conscience. And that goes for the rest of us, too. Vote for Romney and leave us alone.

My objection to Romney’s well-known and undeniable history of abortionism, homosexualism, gun grabbing, revenue “enhancing,” liberal judge appointing, big government statism, etc, is not swayed by argument, no matter how well meaning.

Each of us must vote our conscience.

But it did prompt me to re-post this:

Nice job, thank you for taking the time to do that. I think if you make it to the end, the results clearly show the ABR crowd is very small and you have to figure many freepers have been zotted, left or are not posting. Those posters are all ABO.
