Not worried at all that I “know very little of Mormonism.” What I’ve found tonight is that too many people think they know too much...read too much into what is JUST NOT THERE. I remember when my dad told me Catholics literally believe wine turns into Jesus’ blood in their mouth at communion. I mentioned this to my Catholic boyfriend and he was horrified. Just ain’t so — at least for HIM — the real deal. What you think you know, sir, is very different when boots hit the ground.

I have had my boots on the ground thanks. Have had Mormons on this very forum explain to me their version of “Theosis” a topic I am more the familiar with due to and Orthodox background. Becoming a peer of God, one of many gods with many planets is very much a part of their theology. That they hide things from new comers and those not ready is common practice, along with hiding much of the LDS meat. So simply put it is the belief of the Mormon faith and those that follow it in its fullness that they will become gods just like Jesus and the Father (who are separate BTW) and yes those words have come straight from LDS mouths.

Now here is what I find interesting. Seems from reading your post that you feel the LDS follow the same Christ the rest of Christendom does and by such are saved as any other Christian, even specifically saying this about Mitt. You also say that you have worked as a Missionary to Mormons in Utah.

I think the stand out was “My father was dedicated to their conversion”.

Now why would a saved Christian need a Christian missionary, why would they need conversion...
