Sorry, but you can buy the big-screen TV on another day; Christmas IS important. The only store we’ll frequent is a supermarket, and that’s if we forgot something the day before. Otherwise, there are 364 other days to go shopping. There are more important things than money, and one of them is honoring the Lord Jesus Christ on the day we traditionally treat as His Birthday with your family.
But since you’ll be working on Thanksgiving, try to keep a good perspective and think about the person who is trying to feed his or her family while they’ve been out of a job for a year or more. You won’t be alone because you’ll have coworkers who are there, too. Cook the turkey and enjoy your family on your first day off.
