Here's a story about a cop who shot and killed the ex-mayor. Here's the salient part of the article:
According to employment records obtained from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, Price has been fired from four previous jobs with police departments.
He was fired from the McCormick County Sheriff's Office in 1999 for unsafe driving. Just a year later, Price was fired from the Wagener Police Department in 2000 for insubordination.
Price was again fired in 2001, this time from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office for criminal domestic violence. Records show Price completed a pre trial program that wiped the charge from his record.
The officer was fired from the Blackville Police Department in 2006 after repeated complaints of excessive force. Price was hired by the Cottageville Police Department in 2008.
"He's proven himself with the Cottageville Police Department," Craddock said. "He's done a good job, so I guess he got a second chance."

That’s South Carolina. Different state altogether.
You kind of expect this stuff from the county and municipal cops but the staters are usually pretty professional. At least in Florida and GA.
My fiancee’ got the fishing expedition treatment a few weeks ago by a Gwinnett County cop. He saw the guy hiding in the bushes by the convenience store so he pulls out on the main drag and the cop follows him out and pulls him over. Then he says no seat belt so my fiancee’ opens the door to his truck and he’s wearing the seatbelt, then it goes to the windows are tinted too dark. So the fiancee’ tells him its straight from the factory. Then he didn’t come to complete stop at the stop sign. Fiancee’ says yes he did. Then its well he didn’t stop long enough. Fiancee’ says one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississipi is the rule and thats what he did. At that point the cop says well he could give him a ticket so my fiancee’ says well go ahead but you will spend a couple of days in court because I’ll demand a jury trial. The cop says we don’t do that anymore and my fiancee’ says sure they do you just have to request it. At that point the cop just says be more careful and turns away and walks off. Bear in mind he never asked for license, registration or insurance. I’m just sure it didn’t have anythng to do with the Don’t Tread on Me Plate on the back of the truck or the bumper sticker and the Semper Fi sticker. LOL!!
As my defense attorney cousin always says. “The policeman is not your friend”. Words to live by.
