Spot. On.
The cop was in the clear up until the end. He was smart enough to act completely professional when he knew he was being filmed- even to the point of making a joke about lawyers. But he let the loud mouth husband get to him. If they can prove he set up the husband, which it certainly looks like (unless the traffic stop was just one incredible coincidence), then him and his buddy are out of a job.
I got fifty bucks (to the FReepathon) says Sprite518 will not have to eat his words in a week or so. Say ten days?
Bet?
Bueller? Bueller?
The ‘rest of the story’ indicates there are TWO troopers on administrative duty, so obviously the authorities were able to determine the communications between the two officers. The 2nd trooper extricated himself quickly, so may get only a reprimant, but Wyrich is probably toast.
Some people do not deserve to wear the uniform, badge, or carry a gun under the color and authority of the state. Every PD has a couple of bad apples, and the sooner they are rid of them, the better for all the good cops.
Wyrick is that you? Put your head between your legs and kiss your badge goodbye. You are about to become a victim of Seagull management. The Lt Governor calls up the State Patrol commander and chits all over him then he chits all over you. Either way you are chit out of luck. LOL!!!
ALL cops are lying butt lickers!
Here's a story about a cop who shot and killed the ex-mayor. Here's the salient part of the article:
According to employment records obtained from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, Price has been fired from four previous jobs with police departments.
He was fired from the McCormick County Sheriff's Office in 1999 for unsafe driving. Just a year later, Price was fired from the Wagener Police Department in 2000 for insubordination.
Price was again fired in 2001, this time from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office for criminal domestic violence. Records show Price completed a pre trial program that wiped the charge from his record.
The officer was fired from the Blackville Police Department in 2006 after repeated complaints of excessive force. Price was hired by the Cottageville Police Department in 2008.
"He's proven himself with the Cottageville Police Department," Craddock said. "He's done a good job, so I guess he got a second chance."

That’s South Carolina. Different state altogether.
You kind of expect this stuff from the county and municipal cops but the staters are usually pretty professional. At least in Florida and GA.
My fiancee’ got the fishing expedition treatment a few weeks ago by a Gwinnett County cop. He saw the guy hiding in the bushes by the convenience store so he pulls out on the main drag and the cop follows him out and pulls him over. Then he says no seat belt so my fiancee’ opens the door to his truck and he’s wearing the seatbelt, then it goes to the windows are tinted too dark. So the fiancee’ tells him its straight from the factory. Then he didn’t come to complete stop at the stop sign. Fiancee’ says yes he did. Then its well he didn’t stop long enough. Fiancee’ says one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississipi is the rule and thats what he did. At that point the cop says well he could give him a ticket so my fiancee’ says well go ahead but you will spend a couple of days in court because I’ll demand a jury trial. The cop says we don’t do that anymore and my fiancee’ says sure they do you just have to request it. At that point the cop just says be more careful and turns away and walks off. Bear in mind he never asked for license, registration or insurance. I’m just sure it didn’t have anythng to do with the Don’t Tread on Me Plate on the back of the truck or the bumper sticker and the Semper Fi sticker. LOL!!
As my defense attorney cousin always says. “The policeman is not your friend”. Words to live by.
Later
I definitely want to hear the police side of the story before I would believe a professional prevaricator. I believed the lady was wronged until I read her husband was a lawyer.
What about the set up traffic stop of the husband?
Dude, you are dense. The officer claims he smelled alcohol on her breath, but mere MINUTES late, not hours, but minutes late she blows a 0.00 on the breathalyzer. ZERO point ZERO ZERO. Forget the statements on BOTH sides.
She blew a 0.00. You can’t get around that no matter how hard you try.
OK, believe the cop. He didn’t pull her over for weaving or driving erratically. He claims he pulled her over for something that has nothing to do with alcohol.
He claims she had alcohol on her breath, but she blew a 0.00.
At a minimum, they have NO CASE against her for anything. I’ve been on FreeRepublic for 10 +years. I’ve never seen anyone argue such a losing cause.

She didn’t refuse the breath test (there is video of her blowing 0.00).
And I don’t believe the state yanks troopers off patrol duty based simply on “he-said; she-said” - they are short-handed as it is. So, based on the actions taken by the state in restricting *both* troopers to admin duty, it is reasonable to believe that (at the very least) the troopers either admitted to colluding to stop the husband; or there were radio records evidencing that collusion and/or this incident was yet another in a pattern of bad behavior by the officer(s).
If you could get cops put in “time-out” just by writing a letter to the governor, then this would likely be a far more common occurrence - but it isn’t. Is it?
Doesn’t matter what state, it’s like that everywhere.
Is it spelled double "L" weaselliness as you wrote, or is better spelled with only one "L" weaseliness or would this be one of those rare words that used a "Y" instead of an "I" before the suffix...ie., weaselyness?
Spell-check ain't helpin' on this one...
every weasel should have one
I have a real problem believing two cops would conspire to set up a man who was attempting to protect his wife, unless the lawyer was a total AH. Now, there is no law against being an AH I in America, but before we say the police acted stupidly, let’s hear their side.
