Glad his daughter informed us he was alive first. Does someone have to tell here the 3,000+ in NY, PA and DC were, also, alive before they were killed?

Yep. Assuming OBL surrendered passively...he was restrained and then shot by the Mission Commander with a pistol to the back of the head.

MAYBE to the forehead if the skipper wanted him and his men to see OBLs final flash of fear.

Most likely it was just a simple application of the tools of the trade in the most efficient and dispassionate manner.
