Funniest thing about Mayflower descendants, about half of them are descended from a little girl who didn't go on the ship. Her father supposedly did though.
The problem is in the father's relationship to the daughter. It's more like he was the guy who officiated over her parent's marriage ~ and not her father at all ~ Hmm!
So, certify that someone is a Mayflower descendant ~ well, whatever.

What I meant is someone with ancestors that could be documented for centuries. That's not always such a good idea.
