Gee, that's a great quote. But this is not a discussion about political philosophy. This is not a thread about anything conservative or liberal, despite the wailing of some people.

At it's heart the argument that has raged for a few days now is about whether or not there is a legal case for presidential eligibility. Has Free Republic tipped so far that no one is allowed to even question whether or not Obama's eligibility is a winning fight? No one is allowed to think maybe the case is a loser? Constitutional law and representative republic be damned?

If that is the case then I expect all the Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter threads to be banned as well. I expect all mentions of Governor Palin to be stricken because she hasn't come out in full support of the birther position and publicly called for the removal of the Usurper. See how ridiculous that sounds? Now go back and look at what has happened on this thread.

CROWD: A witch! A witch! A witch! We've got a witch! A witch!
VILLAGER #1: We have found a witch, might we burn her?
CROWD: Burn her! Burn!
BEDEMIR: How do you know she is a witch?
VILLAGER #2: She looks like one.
BEDEMIR: Bring her forward.
WITCH: I'm not a witch. I'm not a witch.
BEDEMIR: But you are dressed as one.
WITCH: They dressed me up like this.
CROWD: No, we didn't... no.
WITCH: And this isn't my nose, it's a false one.
BEDEMIR: Well?
VILLAGER #1: Well, we did do the nose.
BEDEMIR: The nose?
VILLAGER #1: And the hat -- but she is a witch!
CROWD: Burn her! Witch! Witch! Burn her!
BEDEMIR: Did you dress her up like this?
CROWD: No, no... no ... yes. Yes, yes, a bit, a bit.
VILLAGER #1: She has got a wart.
BEDEMIR: What makes you think she is a witch?
VILLAGER #3: Well, she turned me into a newt.
BEDEMIR: A newt?
VILLAGER #3: I got better.
VILLAGER #2: Burn her anyway!
CROWD: Burn! Burn her!

That’s a strawman. Nobody called him a witch, or anything else that denies being. If he declares himself a democrat, why should I have to deny it?

You're right. Anyone who questions the questioning of others is in the wrong. It makes sense.

And yes, this is sarcasm.

Oh, and anyone who looks at a person's posting history is wrong, too. After all, history is irrelevant.
