Supreme Court Justice James Wilson, you know the guy that coauthored the declaration & was on the committee of 6 that drafted the constitution. He signed them both and he has lovely handwriting.
His commentaries on American law were published in 1791. There are 3 Volumes.
Wilson wrote to Washington in hopes Washington would select him to be the 1st Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, however Washington chose Jay & I concur that Jay was the right choice at the time.
