In "Dreams," though most likely written by Ayers, Obama says he found his BC many years ago, so it almost certainly wasn't an abbreviated HI short-form, but an original long form, if the account is true. Of course there is a blanket denial of accuracy at the front of the book.
As he moved towards considering taking the oath of office he would have a legal, moral, ethical and patriotic duty to resolve any doubts there might be regarding his eligibility, in my view.
I don't know if the book states what year this certificate was found, but someone had mentioned how you need your vaccination papers when you travel abroad ... the certificate was apparently with Obama's vaccination ... IOW, these were Obama's travel documents and perhaps not an actual passport. The certificate could have been from any of the 57 states or countries in which Obama might have been born

Yes, but recall how he couldn't even recite a basic oath. Mumblemouth tried to talk over Judge Roberts and threw off the whole thing ... and had to do it again out of public view. Not impressed with Barry Soetoro's legal, moral, ethical or patriotic behavior.
