I’ve read less than $1,000. The $1.5 million claim is suspect. Those are the payments made to Perkins / Coie, his campaign lawyers. Per the birthers this is all for defense of the long form, but they have no way of knowing what it is for. Simply another suspicion. I found out they are on three cases. In one case, they supposedly got $520 back when the Plaintiffs had to pick up costs. Another case, $20 for expenses only.
So far, the birthers have been getting punted out with little trouble. The lack of evidence thingie is kinda hampering their case. The “Not an NBC” Birthers, as opposed to the “He wasn’t born in Hawaii birthers”, might last a little longer since their basis is legal interpretation.
But, the law is not their friend.
parsy, who hopes this helps
While I do not keep up with this angle, I must say that a “lack of evidence” is not the reason it doesn’t move forward. It is a lack of merit or standing.
