Yes, we have strong hits for "James O W Ang’Awa", also known in TB academic circles as "Ang’awa JO" with minor variants of the same name.

The third reference below has his article in a medical journal in Kenya in 1965, and the fifth reference has him writing a 1959 article in Mombasa.

So the probably factor goes UP, especially factoring in the article, "The pattern of disease as seen by medical admissions to the Coast Province General Hospital in 1960" (See Post 9,911 above).

It is apparent that James O W Ang’Awa had the geographical opportunity to be the physician on the document, but have you thought about how he got involved in a birth there when he was actually there working with a vaccination program? Wouldn’t he be considered a visiting physician?

I can’t remember in what specific capacity his name appears - attending or delivering doctor or perhaps a handy MD who could sign it. I don’t have a copy of it so I have to go search back in the thread to find the one I remember was posted. Is it odd, given his role, that he would have signed it? Did he need some paying jobs maybe as he traveled around doing his vaccination thing?
