For some reason...it appears to have been necessary to place him between the grandparents, and the only reason I can think of, is that they were estranged.

It just seems like the one’s we’ve seen were carefully chosen to show him as such a ‘happy-go-lucky’ guy (or maybe they were ‘crafted’ to show that). Someone trying to create his “past”?
