I am doing some independent investigation of BHO senior's records at Harvard. He does not show up in Alumni Records, which is supposed to have the names of all students who have matriculated at Harvard. I am looking for independent confirmation, but it does not appear that there is a PhD thesis in the Harvard archives.
Given that BHO senior seemed to spend all his time giving political speeches, I think it is doubtful that he ever pursued serious studies at Harvard. I will get back to you when I have succeeded/failed in getting indpendent verification of the missing thesis.
Obama JR got parking tickets from the Cambridge Police (how ironic), and there's an AP interview that took place in April (or so) 1991. But there are entire swaths of time when he doesn't even appear to be present at Harvard (or Columbia for that matter).
It's almost as if he were in a Foreign Exchange Program and not present at Harvard ...
I’ll check it out, but I have read somewhere that he did not graduate.
He never finished his PhD. Just his Masters. In economics. Wonder if with his drinking, he just didn’t make the grade.

PhD's do "dissertations". But it is a a "thesis" that you should be looking for, since it's only claimed BHO Sr. had a Master's degree, for which one must (generally) write a theis. I did, but my wife did not. Of course she was on the doctorate track, and they often are allowed to skip the thesis, but take more credit hours of classes. She later wrote a dissertation. Younger daughter is working on hers now.
