Those that want to keep their responsibility and authority over their lives refuse to be dumbed down.

“Those that want to keep their responsibility and authority over their lives refuse to be dumbed down.”

I agree with you, but I’m not sure why you said it to me. Can you explain why?

FR used to have some incredibly thoughtful and incisive posters. They may still be here for all I know.

My problem is that there seems to be no forum for people who won’t believe unsubstantiated allegations but don’t want to ignore the issue entirely. If you know of any, I’d appreciate a PM.

My problem is that I always want to convert people who are thinking a bit fuzzily into people who think clearly. I nearly got ensnared myself in the birther movement. I know something is definitely fishy with him, but I’m not sure what it is. At any rate, I’ve learned enough from people who understand the law that without evidence, there’s not much we can do. We should have done something last June. From now on, I guess we have to expect that our representatives in Congress are not going to do the right thing. They should have objected to the Electoral College vote count for Alabama and stopped the entire process until his eligibility was resolved. But WE didn’t have our act together.

We have to learn that it’s up to us, not Congress. Congress won’t give us the time of day. And now it’s too late, because Obama has the law on his side.

I wonder if anyone else now feels (besides me) that he or she knows a little bit what Dredd Scott felt after the SCOTUS decision of his case.
