While reading, the thought came to me: Could they have been married in Kenya? There would be no record in HI of that marriage.
Somewhere on this great, long thread there is a discussion about an interview of Ann Obama’s BABYSITTER that she used n Seattle when she was in school. Does anyone remember where that was? I’d like to make a note of its location because I’ve not seen it elsewhere.

A Kenyan marriage certificate wouldn’t have been added to Hawaiian databases, would it?
And a Kenyan birth certificate wouldn’t be visable in any database either ... just in an archive folder or vault somewhere at the Hawaiian Vital Statistics office — if it was, in fact, retained before granting a Hawaiian COLB
